Awards won by IFFCO - Kandla at 26th National Convention of INSSAN

The 26th National Convention of INSSAN (Indian National Suggestion Scheme Association) was held at Pune held during 8 - 9th January-2016. IFFCO - Kandla bagged two awards. Shri A K Sharma, DGM(PE) won 3rd rank in the Best Evaluator (Coordinator) contest. The award is given to the coordinator for increasing the qualitative suggestions and its effective implementation in the organisation. Shri Mukesh Makwana, AM(Inst) won the Merit Award for Best Suggestor in Cost Saving category. His suggestion was to increase the sack grip hold up time by introducing a physical timer in the bagging machine in case of bagging imported urea. For DAP/ NPK the density is higher than urea and hence timer circuit is designed accordingly. Due to this reason, the urea was falling off the bag as bag was released a little early. By introducing physical timer, the sack grip time for urea increased and helped in proper bagging of urea without spillage. It has saved cost of losses and also improved housekeeping. Nearly Rs. 50 lakh have been saved anually on implementing this suggestion.

All the employees of IFFCO - Kandla are motivated to work with creativity and innovation which is the need of time for progressive growth.
